LifeHacker.com has an excellent overview of Microsoft's Office Live Workspace (in beta, of course). This is not your father's office productivity suite so do not dismiss this offering without at least looking at the product. Built on the Sharepoint environment, Office Live Workspace has the potential to be a really useful tool for storing documents and collaborating with groups. The biggest disadvantage (currently) is that a Microsoft Live ID is required to participate. Sure, this is a free account but unlike Google's dirt simple sign-up system or Yahoo's moderately simple sign-up system, registering for a Live ID is a lot like getting your teeth pulled...that is, by slamming a door with a string tied to your tooth.
